Purchased Video Game will not start

I purchased Diamond Drop, when I had WindowsXP, I installed it on my new computer which has Vista Operating System it loads but when I try to start it I get an error. I went to properties and changed it to be compatable with Windows XP. My Dirtec X is current. So what can the problem be.

i can offer only a little help that might not be accurate 1.you need an updated verson of windows vista 2. the game itself has a problem if so then im sorry the only thing to do is to return it for another game if store bought or remove it if downloaded if its the game you have my sympathy

what does the error say when you start it on the vista system
