[SOLVED] Call of Duty 4 lags
Hey guys
I have a problem with my call of duty 4 game. when i play online i get lag only when an airstrike is sent in and the lag gets really bad. i bought a geforce 9600gt graphic card the other day thinking that would stop the lag but it is still occuring in my game.... i meet all the requirements for my pc to play the game. At first i thought it would of been my motherboard because its a basic type but the motherboard doesn't make a difference here is what i have in my pc: AMD Athlon 64X2 4200+ Abit motherboard ( Thats a basic motherboard ) 2G of Ram 9600GT Geforce video card I Don't know if my CPU isn't fast enough but it meets the requirements soo if anyone can help me then it would be much appreciated Thanks |

Re: Call of Duty 4 lags
try turning down some options and see if that helps, first start with nothing, everything down, thenplay, does it lag? if it doesnt then slowly start to put some somestuff up, but slowly, and check each time if it lags, until yo feel comfortable and it runs smoothly.

Re: Call of Duty 4 lags
What make/model and total watts is your PSU? If your computer is not getting enough power, this can lead to overheating and lag in games.
Make a note of your temperatures and voltages in BIOS, then check again while playing COD4 with SpeedFan, and monitor the graphics card temperature during gameplay with nTune in the nvidia control panel. Have you made any changes from default in BIOS? Try installing the AMD Dual Core Optimizer, then reboot. Quote:

Re: Call of Duty 4 lags
CPU fan Speed - 3000 to 3050 RPM
System fan speed - 1150 to 1200 RPM CPU Temperature 33 to 35 degrees System temperature 33 to 34 degrees Would any of this have any effect towards the game?? i got about 3 or 4 fans in my PC but my PC case is a big one that came with 2 of them. |
