Sims 2 CD Transfer Error

I just got my Sims 2 4 CD set And at the end of the installation i get this error "could not transfer groups.cache" but when i click cancel and it asks "uninstall" so i click yes then it says "install complete" then when i look in my userdata folder i see "groups.cache" and its 14 kb
how can i stop that error from happening?

Hi Bama0027 and welcome to TSF,

Please ensure that there are no scratches on the disk.
Check for any HDD errors using Vista's Check Disk and scan for any Viruses and try again.
