Video Card Upgrade

I have a Compaq Pressario SR1130NX. I played The Sims 2 games on the computer. The have always worked just fine never no issue with them. Then I purchased another one in the line of games "Pets" and when I installed it to play it looked fine until I clicked on the house and then all the walls blink in red constantly. I've been told that I need to upgrade my video card. I'm unsure to what seeing as how I've never had to do that and I don't know what's compatible with it. I'm looking for something that will be efficient but not too costly

Just update your drivers.

Also you need to say what specs your Computer is. Like Power Supply, Graphics Card, Ram etc.
