I need a new laptop for video games.

I'm moving out of home and need to get a laptop. Please help me find a few to choose from as I am having trouble finding a suitable one at the correct price.

1. Budget: No more than £500 ($1000)

2. Screen: I'm not that fussed to be honest, biger than 14-15 inches I reckon

3. Brands: No particular brand

4. Mobility: I will probably always have it plugged in so not important

5. Durability: As long as it doesn't break easily

6. Multitasking: i'll either be gaming, or surfing the web.

7. Gaming: This is what is important, I need a half decent graphics card, not to run any brand new high spec games. It will be nice if it can run the likes of Elderscrolls : Oblivion without worrying, maybe around low-medium settings. Also I would like at least 2GB RAM

8. Calculations: No

9. Storage: 120mb minimum

10. Optical Media: I would like to, not a major necessity

11. Operating System: Vista

12. Location: England

Thankyou very much in advance.

Re: I need a new laptop for video games.

I'd think that you'll get better info on the Laptop Support forum. You may want to re-post there. Also check newegg.com, search for laptops and then search among the highest rated ones. Then read the reviews of people that own that laptop. The ratings are based on those reviews. Not that you'll have to buy from them, but the more you know the better.
