I can't play ANYTHING on AMD GAME...
I know it's long, but please, it is really urgent.
My friend recommended me this site, he said he posted here a while ago and you helped him quickly and efficiently, so I decided to give it a shot. I bought an AMD GAME about a month and a half ago, and exactly how it sounds, it's a computer designed for gaming enviroment. So far so good. The day I got my computer, after installing all the drivers, running windows update, and all the other things that are required for smooth gameplay I decided to install Guild Wars in order to check the FPS and, well, play. When I got into the game, everything was ok. The FPS was high, everything ran smoothly... I was satisfied. about 2 minutes after that, it all began. The game started to slow down, FPS dropped from 60+ to 2-5, ping reached a 4 digit number, and playing was impossible. Such "spikes" occured every 5-10 secs of Normal gameplay.. they last for about 10 seconds, and I don't need to say that playing under such circumstances is no less than impossible. So I thought to myself "Maybe it's the game.." I re-installed it, problem persisted. I tried to install a different game, an original copy of Assassin's Creed. Here the story was different. I was playing for about 2 and a half hours without interruption, and I thought I escaped the problem. After 2 and a half hours it all began again. I decided to try ANOTHER game... maybe it was something relating the graphics.. I decided to try GTA III - again, original copy. GTA III is a 2003 game if im not mistaken, and yet again, those "spikes" were here too. I called the store I bought the computer from, told them about my problem, and sent the computer back to them. When they couldn't find the problem, I got there and showed them myself. They agreed to replace the computer, and 3 days later I got a new AMD GAME. Drivers, windows update, etc.. Guess what, I installed Assassin's Creed and Viola! problem still exists.. I tried to be positive... "Maybe it's the copy of the game" Tried GW, GTA III, DMC4, UT3, Mario, Minesweeper... these 'slowing down "spikes" ' were everywhere ( Well except minesweeper, but it isn't any comfort...) The characteristics of the computer are the following : CPU - Athlon X2 6400 Mother Board - Asus M3A78EMH HDMI OS - Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit SP1 Memory - Patriot DDR II 800MHZ 2GB Hard Drive - WD SATA2 320GB 16MB Graphics - Club3D ATI HD3650 512MB DDR3 Optical drive - NEC DVD-RW Case - Recom Blackdraft ATX Power Supply -Recom 450W Source : AMD official website Im desperate... anyone has ANY ideas? PS - I checked Can You Run It before installing these games, and I should run them at no problem. And like I said, these slowing down spikes are occuring every 10s approximately, after that it's smooth gameplay (well, for another 15 secs at most, after that another wave of slowing down is approaching... Re: I can't play ANYTHING on AMD GAME...
Ok this might be your Problem. The PSU they have supplied you with is ok. For low-end Graphics card.....
Your PSU can supply 26A Graphics card. However reading around (google) many recommend having a PSU with 550W (12v@30A) I would ask for a PSU replacement. Or ask them to test the system with a High Quality 550W PSU (12v@30A+)
