Freezing with Looping sounds Help me plz!

Hello

i just recently decided to upgrade my computer, pretty much got everything new except for the HD. anyways my problem is When im playing COunter Strike Souce it will just randomly decided to Freeze, and i will have to Alt Tab out to get it to fix it then wait like 3 mins to go back in. there are looping sounds the whole time this is going on, ive gotten a nv4_disp error once. but i havent seen that in awhile.

Computer Specs :

G-Card : Leadtek Winfast PX9600GT 512MB PCI express
MOBO : ASUS M2R32-MVP AM2 AMD 580X CrossFire ATX AMD Motherboard
Processor : AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+ Brisbane 2.8GHz Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core black edition
Mem : OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
PS : Asus 450 watt

now what i was thinkin is that i might need another gig of ram but im not sure. So this is the second sight ive come to for help the first site i couldnt get any kind of help on. SO please help me

What brand power supply, 450watt psu's arent cutting it nowadays,
often overlooked. You need a quality psu, with plenty of amps on the
12volt rail.

actually i messed up, its a Dynex 400watt Power Supply

The error message is related to the graphics card but probably caused by the PSU not powering the graphics card sufficiently.

The 9600GT PCIE needs a good quality PSU with at least 26 amps on the +12V line. Adding more RAM won't make any difference at all.
