Can't renstall call of duty 4
I uninstalled Call Of Duty of my pc because it wasn't working and when i go to install it again half way through the installation this comes up:"Error 1305. Error reading from file D:/setup/data/main/localized_english_iw04.iwd. Verify that the file exits and that you can access it. " and the game doesnt install. Does anyone know how to help!

Well it sounds like maybe your install dvd is scratched or messed up
You can try and load the dvd in your drive then dont start the setup go to mycomputer and right click on the dvd drive that shows cod and click explorer and find that file and see if you can Copy that file to your desktop im not an expert by any means but i would try that and make sure if your dvd is a dvd and not a cd your using a dvd rom not a cd rom which since you got half way through the installation it sounds like your okay on that part also if you have another dvd rom try installing that one or if its already installed try using that one instead maybe its the dvdrom that cant read it for some reason |
