Need Help Patching Tes Iii: Morowind

I've downloaded a patch for the said game but it won't patch.... The error message is:

"Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match."

I don't know what file it could possibly be because it doesn't tell me but the patch program stops at 33% whilst displaying "Morrowind.bsa"... I've tried all the other patches but they don't work either.... I'm at a loss and my game is all buggy >_< ..... help?

There are a number of patches for Morrowind depending on which version you have. "Morrowind GOTY (Game of the Year) comes as v1.2.0722 already as well as having the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions. If you do not have the GOTY version, check to make sure your patch is for Morrowind ONLY....not for Tribunal and/or Bloodmoon.

At the startup screen (in-game, not the Launcher) it will tell you the version at the bottom-left corner. If it says v1.2.0722 then you don't need the patch.

If it does not, then get the:

MORROWIND PATCH v1.2.0722
Morrowind_v1.2.0722.exe (3.9 MB) 07/22/2002
This patch is for the North American and Australian editions, and European collector's edition versions of Morrowind.

**DO NOT INSTALL if you have already installed the
Tribunal expansion.**

The patches can be installed at any point in the game...so don't let this setback stop you from continuing gameplay. When in doubt, just copy and install your saved games into another folder. Then uninstall and reinstall the game. Then just re-include your saved games to continue as before.

My daughter likes to play Morrowind on my computer but her character is different from mine. This posed a problem at first Because Morrowind is "single player" only with no "multiple character" option. We got around this by switching out our character's "saved games" from Morrowind's default "Saves" folder into special folders I created under their names. Then re-install the character when she or I want to play the game. Sounds awkward....but it works fine.

i have just morrowind... no goty or expansions of any sort. i've downloaded all the patch versions and tried them all... none work except the one for the french version, which partly works(i get a few things fixed)... version 1.2.0813 (not too sure on the version here)... Really kind of frustrating.... i've also tried uploading the installer thing (ikernel something or rather) and still it doesnn't work....

oh one more thing i forgot.... My game is definitely not french... im pretty sure because i bought it in New Zealand... the closest to NZ is Australia... but obviously that patch didn't work.
