Can't play games...bad withdrawal symptons!

Hi, im having a few issues with my PC which are really starting to frustrate me, it keeps rebooting or crashing to desktop every time i play a game. the length of time before it crashes varys from a fwe seconds to a few minutes, but no more than 10. If it restarts it just shows a blue screen with no error msg on it, then restarts.

My gfx card is fully up to date driver-wise. I originally thought the problem was a HDD, which was corrupted a bit so i just got a new one, seagate barracuda 7200.10 250gb but im still getting issues. Not really sure where to go from here...has anyone got any ideas as to what the problem could be?

also, my icons for shortcuts and programs on my desktop and quickbar? (the one where you press start and all the recently used icons come up), with the exception of folders appear as black squares. ive gone into their properties and they all say that the icons are set to the right picture.

Could you open up the case and post your PSU information here for us please. Mainly we need the total Watts and the AMPS on the 12V line.

While the case is open, have a look around for dust accumulations on the fans and heat sinks. If you find a lot of it, clean it with a can of compressed air.

Alrighty, based on all that, it's possible that the system is under powered. Before you go buying another PSU though, see if you can borrow one from a friend (500 watts +) just to make sure that this is indeed the case.
