Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War

right i used to play this game alot untill i stopped for a few months so i installed the game again (well attempting to) but it stops at disk 2 and always says

Error 1305.Error reading from file C:\Program Files\W40K\Movies\DOWMissions\MS02_brief.avi. Verify that the file exists and you can access it.

Please help! because i'v been working for a week trying to install this and dark crusdade, but crusade was too much memory so i want Dawn Of War installed to last me for 2 months untill i get a new comp

If theres anymore infomation you need to know than tell me

I am seriously not good in computer stuff so if i don't know about files i'll tell you

Hi bataloon, welcome to TSF

Open Windows Explorer and go to the C: drive. Can you see the MS02_brief.avi file in C:\Program Files\W40K\Movies\DOWMissions ?

If it's there, try playing it in Windows Media Player to see if it's corrupt. Post back with any error messages.

As the file is on the C: drive and not the game CD, it could be that the video plays in the background while the rest of the game is installing. If you get an error message while trying to play the video, then it could be a codec problem which is easy enough to fix.

Hello koala,

it seems that i can't find any files of dawn of war, i went to local disk and i saw (C:) so i'm sure that worked and saw program files, So i went into it but unfortuantaly i can't see anything, only thq but it has nothing inside of it,

note: it will show me all the files of dawn of war when i sucessfully got past them bits while installing, and if i stop installing the files i installed already will go,

w00t i fixed that problem somehow but theres another error

i got to the end of the installation, all bars full but unfortuantally the last part comes up as this error
