Iam running windows xp sp2 4gb ram radeon 9550 256mb 2.4ghz cpu (normaly 1.8ghz overclocked it )
When i try to run a Game for example counterstrike conditon zero or halflife 2 the cpu hits 100% and the game really gets annoying like when you press "w" to walk forward if you let go the game character keeps going forward. I dont know why this happens my pc meets the high system requirements for these games but it hangs even halflife 1 which doesnt require that much system requiremets :( can anyone help me please OH one more thing my harddrive is 40 gb and i have 5 gb free space would this casue this |

What temperatures and voltages do you get with the overclock during gameplay compared to the default clock settings?
Did you add any more fans or increase the fan speed to cope with the extra heat? Have you reapplied the thermal paste recently? Do you have the same problem running at 1.8GHz? Have you made any other changes in BIOS apart from the CPU overclock? Are you running any other programs while gaming? Windows needs a minimum of 15% free space (6gb for your 40gb drive) to run efficiently, and defragging will definitely help. Also, you need 15% free space for defrag to run at all.
