My System

Question SAMP troubles

I have an issue with SA:MP. I have 2 computers with GTA:SA and SA:MP connected using a LAN.I use the better computer as the server for SA:MP. The issue with the older computer is when I try to connect to any sever, whether it on my LAN or on the internet, I simply sits there. Or, to put it in better terms, I double click the server i want to connect to, type the password (if any) and click connect. Then it does nothing but remove the connect screen. SA wont come up at all, not matter what i try. This does not happen on my server computer.
Specs:

Older Computer:
ACER VERITON 5500G
ATI Radeon 9600 graphics (128mb)
Pentium 4 2.4 ghz
512mb PC-2100 DDR RAM
Windows XP Professional
1x 120gb HDD and 1x 40gb HDD
GTA SA is installed in this directory: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas

Server computer:
Custom built computer
Xpertvision Nvidia 8600gt(512mb)
Pentium Dual-Core E2220 2.4ghz
2gb DDR2 RAM
Windows Vista Home Premium
1x 160gb SATA HDD
GTA SA is installed in this directory: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas

Note: The older computer is an ex-school computer that I fixed up.
