When I run Morrowind it says font 0 not found and I have already downloaded the patch and updated the game. Why?

Re: Morrowind Vista Patches

I play Morrowind but with WinXP, but might be a file not downloading properly during installation.

This is from Forum PlanetElder Scrolls
Morrowind Troubleshooting and Optimizing Solutions for Windows (Including Vista) "Sticky". This pretty much covers all problems.

This is a fairly common error no matter what operating system you're using, but it seems to be most common on Vista. The first thing you should do is reinstall Morrowind by following these instructions:

First, uninstall the game using Windows Add/Remove Programs. Then delete the Morrowind folder from your hard drive - (default location) C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind - empty your recycle bin, and restart your computer. Once your computer restarts, disconnect from the internet and SHUT DOWN your anti-virus software and your firewall (this is probably what messed up the install the first time), then reinstall the game in the following order - Morrowind, Tribunal, then Bloodmoon.
If that does not help, then look through the "Vista help" section for more suggestions.

But sounds like the old PC Games Mantra whenever a problem like this comes up:
Uninstall
Reinstall
Reboot

This way the missing file is completely downloaded. If corrupted, then the error will be uninstalled and your computer ready for a fresh installment.
