Stuttering in most of my games

For some strange reason im stuttering in most of my games even though I know with my hardware I should't be stuttering... Atleast not in nwn1.

In neverwinter nights 1 about every 3 second the game freezes for about 1½ second.

also in Gears of War I get some very strange stuttering.

In mass the game stutters every 6 second.

I have no idea of whats causing this. ive checked my taskmanager to see whats taking up my CPU and it seems that some times some of the svchost programs takes up about 60% of my cpu. I have no idea of why its doing this but I know that shutting them down would't be a good idea at all and I could imagine that maybe this is the cause of my problems ? still don't know though :/

I am no pro but it sound like that svchost is corrupt. Try this site

And I have a very similar problem to the one you have. My pc would laq (or stutter) in a game like warcraft 3, yet it plays fine in Supreme Commander.

Thanks Emile :)... im currently using that scanner, however its been scanning for hours now and still aint done :S... heh.. well I guess im just going to leave it scanning til its done heh hope it works
