Empire Earth game trouble

Ok, so i install the game, and play it. it loads fine then gets to the menu, but whenever i try to play it just stops. It doesnt freeze because music is still playing. I have windows 2000, 523 mb of RAM and enough freee space.....so can anyone help me?

What other stuff do you need to know? (so i can narrow it down)

PSU, CPU, graphics card, motherboard (if onboard graphics), graphics driver version number, free hard drive space (%), swap file settings. Laptop or desktop?

Also, go to Start > Run > dxdiag > Display, enable the Acceleration buttons and run the 2 tests.

Are you sure it's 523MB RAM? It's usually 512, 768 or 1024. Or slightly less if you use onboard graphics.

gaphics drive version number:nvidia 6.1.7.6
swap file settings: 192mb initial to 384 mb max size
free hard drive space:1.23 gb of 14.3 gb
desktop:
PSU:200 watt
(the annoying thing is i have played this game on thisexact computor
