CoD4- Hangs up and distorted graphics

Whenever I play CoD4, it gets hung up and the graphics get all distorted like in the SS. It sometimes happens early on, or even after 40 minutes. I first thought it was the cooling, but I have 3 fans and a heatsink just for the card.

This is what I got from Everest about my power supply-
Core Voltage 1.100 - 1.450 V

I/O Voltage 1.2 V + 2.5 V

Motherboard Name MSI RS480M2/RX480M2 (MS-7093)

CPU Type AMD Athlon 64, 1800 MHz (9 x 200) 3000+

System Memory 1536 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)

My video card is 8800 GTS (PCI- E).

Re: CoD4- Hangs up and distorted graphics

I think the problem may be the power supply...
Is there a way for me to find out, since this gfx card is a power hog.

thats easy to test.run prime 95,and rthdribl both at the same time.while monitoring voltages with speedfan.also what kind of power supply do you have?is this a self built computer,or an oem like hp,dell, etc?

Re: CoD4- Hangs up and distorted graphics

It is a self built one.
I got this reading while those 2 programmes were running.

Re: CoD4- Hangs up and distorted graphics

The voltages seem to be the same when those 2 programmes are running and when they're not. It is just that the CPU usage increased to 100%

Re: CoD4- Hangs up and distorted graphics

I think it is either the power supply or the cooling.

Re: CoD4- Hangs up and distorted graphics

It happened again after 25 minutes of playing. If it is getting ovrheated, how can I increase the fan speeds and what else can I do?
Err, why is the RPM for fan 1 0%?

Re: CoD4- Hangs up and distorted graphics

Never mind, I sorted it out. The problem was cooling, so I opened up my case, and am cooling the card with a table fan.
