Cod4 Lag Issue

Hello all. I just started playing COD 4. I can run the game at an FPS rate of 80 to 95. It runs great untill an airstrike or helicoptor is called in then my frame rate drops down around 18 to 25 till its over then goes right back up. I have an Dell inspirion 530 pc. It has 4gigs of ram, 8600GT 512mb video card, vista operating system, 300w power supply, intel core 2 duo 2.2ghz processor. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to correct this problem? All video card drivers are up to date also. Thanks

id say a larger power supply,and a more powerful video card would solve your problem.
