i rn rome total war bt it sys i nd DX9
Hi i run rome total war and a box comes up saying that i need to install direct x 9 for rome to work so i install it but it doesnt work so i end up re-installing it several times, but i get nothing please help.

Hi, welcome to TSF
Did you reboot after installing DirectX? Have you installed the latest graphics driver? Do you get this error on any other games that require DirectX? This website will scan your computer and tell you if it meets the game's minimum and recommended requirements. Go to Start > Run and type dxdiag to open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. Under the System tab, what does it say at the bottom for DirectX Version? Click the DirectX Files tab at the top. Any problems listed in the Notes box? Click the Display tab, make sure the Acceleration buttons are enabled, then run the 2 tests. Any problems listed in the Notes box?
