Some PC Problems

I'm not much of a techie person, so I hope you bear with me with these seemingly newbie questions...

I have two PCs that I regularly use at home. PC1 is a Pentium 3, 256MB (sorry I don't have the full specs with me now), PC2 is a Pentium3, 128MB.

I recently bought and installed Gamehouse and Medal of Honor games, and my PC1 seems to crash whenever I play these games. I always get the "Dont Send" problem every 30 seconds. But the PC works fine for other programs, like MS Office. What could possibly be the reason for this?

As for PC2, the problem is that the screen turns red whenever I play Gamehouse games or Rise of Nation. Again, the PC works fine for other programs.

Hope anyone could help me. Thanks.

Re: Some PC Problems

First do a sweep with your anti spy ware programs to catch any malware that could interfere with the game.

Have you uploaded any recent patches through the MOH website or other carriers? These would take care of any bugs that could cause the crashing.

Go to the "Can You Run This?" website. It checks out your system to see what if you have all the "right stuff" to run a particular game. If you don't, it will tell you "why".

But you might want to upgrade the "128" in the one with more RAM. This is the minimum for MOH....more RAM is always a good, cheap "fix".

If either of your computers have onboard "intergrated graphics", they might not be enough to run those games properly. The "why" is because what RAM you have is being "shared" to run the computer instead of just running the game. Why you may be getting a "red screen" because the action is too much for it before it crashes.

You can find out what kind of graphics setup by going to Control Panel> "Display"> "Settings" tab. The "Settings" tab will tell you what your computers are using for graphics. Whether Intel Intergrated Chipset or a separate card.
