Just curious...

Ok, i recently built a computer and i'm playing a whole bunch of games and i don't know if my temperatures are high or not......

While im playing games i'm getting CPU Temperatures of.. 40-53 degrees celsius...

While im not playing games, i'm getting about 35-36 on CPU

On the video cards, i'm getting about 45-55 degrees celsius in games

And Idle on video cards is about 35

Are these temperatures safe? i honestly have no idea about this kind of stuff....
I'd also like to know when my temperatures are too high

Re: Just curious...

Those temps look fine to me.

I did a quick search and the maximum operating temperature for your CPU was 55 - 72 (http://products.amd.com/en-us/Deskto...ail.aspx?id=52)

The 8800's fine. As long as it's under 70 or so, I think you'll be alright.

Re: Just curious...

What program are you using to monitor your system temperatures?

Running 2 8800GT cards on a Rosewill 600W is very risky to the graphics cards and other components. I have just one 8800GT with a Thermaltake 650W and wouldn't go any lower. For SLI 8800s, 700W or higher with plenty of +12V amps is recommended.

Check your PSU voltages during gameplay over the next few weeks with PC Wizard to see if the +12V value starts to go outside the +-5% range (11.4 to 12.6V). You might be ok for now, but PSUs deteriorate over time, especially low quality units like the Rosewill. When the PSU starts to go, it can often damage the graphics cards as well, so upgrading to a decent PSU now could save you money and trouble in the long run.
