F.E.A.R running choppy at times?

Hi, I have a 1.7ghz, 768ram and 256mb geforce 6600 video card. Ok, this is really wierd, but when i play the game, it takes about 6.5 mins to load, and when i play, it plays choppy whenever i enter a new area. (And i die) When i've played in the same level for some time, the gameplay is as smooth as caramel. This happens at 640*480 minimum resolution and eye candy and the same thing happens at 1024*768 high resolution. Why is that?

Hi,

It could be that the comp's finding it hard to load the maps in time. How full if your harddrive? Have you defragged recently?
