Re: Computer Shuts Down While Playing
Look in your BIOS settings and check what your warning and shutdown temperatures are set to. Maybe they're set too low? I would think 50 should be the warning and 60 should be the shutdown for a multicore intel processor.
Are the temps you have posted idle or in-game figures? If those are idle, I would take a serious look at your cooling. 40c is an acceptable temperature for intense applications like games, but it is not an acceptable temp for the idle.

Re: Computer Shuts Down While Playing
The computer is going to be one year old... lol... i built it myself.. and yes the games were running ok.. without problems.
idle is around 33 to 35... in games it goes up to 40 to 45... ill try to check the bios for that.. |

Re: Computer Shuts Down While Playing
It could be you PSU, Rosewill is a generic PSU it wasn't designed for a gaming PC. After about 1 year a PSU can loose up to 30% of its maximum output capacity. And considering its a generic brand it has probably lost more.
As you have stated lowering your clocks and voltages either stopped or slowed down the problem, this is because your PC is using less power. Have you got any software where at allows you to monitor your 12+ voltage levels?

Re: Computer Shuts Down While Playing
What about full load. Its when your system is drawing the most from your PSU.
Read this thread Power Supply Information and Selection and down the bottom will be a selection of some good gaming PSUs.
