OS: xp pro sp3

Red Faced BSOD or hl2.exe crash

Recent PC changes: 8800GT from MSI and installed
XP pro (32 bit) fully updated and new steam updates.

System has not been overclocked.

The system
Thermaltake 600w PSU
Q6600
MSI 8800GT
P5NSLI
2 GIG DDR2 corsair

Now the problems seem to have come from around the time of me getting a new card, new OS and new steam updates.

Now first of all the problem. I have mainly been testing it on 2 games I have installed which are from steam (TF2 and GRID). The problem only happens while using 3D programs as it has also happened during 3D mark 06.

I either end up with a HL2.exe windows failure box which asks me if I want to send off my error report or not or a BSOD which both usually happen after about 15min-1hr of gaming.

The bsods have consited from (bad_pool_header, IRQL, NV4.DLL) which from what I have research are driver related.

Somtimes I get the HL2.exe then 2 secs later a BSOD.

Yes I use driver cleaner and always use the latest drivers I have also rolled back my drivers to older versions and reformated twice.

Have tested with 2 sets of 2gig memory.

No heat issues

Have tried reseting updating the bios..

No virus or spyware.

I really dont know where to go next I am thinking of taking back the GPU.
