Black & white 1 solution?

I bought black and white a long time ago. I played with with a voodoo 2 card originally with no problem other than having to run it in compatibilty mode. Now I have an AMD 1600mhz. 1024 meg ram, geforce 6200 pci and windows 2k professional sp4.

Every thing runs smoothly at first but then it starts stalling every couple minutes and eventually freezes up completely. I've tried getting the new drivers and tried using even older drivers for my graphics card. I can't try running it in compatability mode anymore because it says there is a debugger running when I attempt to do so. I've tried it with the 1.1 patch and 1.2 patch. I've also tried changing all the setting I could with both the game options and my graphics card options. I've read dozens Q&As on this problem and have found no solutions.

I'm out of ideas, so if anyone has any it would greatly appreciated.
