Cannot get FF7 to run properly on Win XP

I have tried so many things, way to many to list here, but heres the short version. Ive got an emulator EPSX, tried every variation of SPU, GPU and CD pluggings, tried running the game disks, tried DL ISO copies, burning my own copies, mounting them to disk, and it still hangs up on the part when weapon attacks junon harbor. Is there a way to make the game not load the FMV's??? I think that would work, since it usually freezes on FMV's.

also tried ulitma edition and PC edition. Emulator seems to work best, just freezes on arbitrary parts. since square decided to withhold copies of the best game ever made... its hard to get a copy of.

Re: Cannot get FF7 to run properly on Win XP

Its more than likely down to the Emulator. As they are only "based" on how the PSone or PS2 runs the games there will be bugs in the system. Try to find a different Emulator..
But unfortunately thats all the help i can give you on the matter, due to the fact Emulators are in the gray area of the forums rules. For instance you said that you downloaded an ISO copy of the game from the net. Emulator can be used to play games that you do not own for a PS1, PS2 or Xbox.
