Knights of the Old Republic problem
After finishing a fight with swords or lightsabers, the Player Character will not move. I can switch to another party member and move, and the PC will follow, but if I switch back to the PC, it will still not move unless I have transitioned to another area. I have installed the latest patch and am using recent drivers. As far as I can tell, this problem does not occur
when using ranged weapons. Other than this annoying problem, the game seems to run fine. I have contacted LucasArts tech support twice, and both times received the same garbage about tech support not providing gameplay tips. It appears that no one is actually reading the message I have sent. I have played KOTOR to its conclusion several times on other machines, and I know that the problem I am experiencing is not "just part of the game." I am wondering if KOTOR has a problem with dual core processors. Any help that anyone can give me will be appreciated. My system: Intel Xeon 3100 proc @ 3 GHz EVGA 132-CK-NF78 2 mobo NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT video card Sound Blaster Audigy 2 snd card 2 GB Kingston ram |
