error message

I downloaded Laura Jones and the gates of good and evil from shockwave ( i am a member) yesterday. Played the game everything was fine. Today i get this error message RESULT_DISPCHANGE_FAIL Setdisplaymode Fullscreen: DDERR_UNSUPPORTED

I have uninstalled, reinstalled,done system maintance, restarted computer, deleted all files associated with the game, checked direct X dont know what else to try. Any help is appriceated.

According the error message, the game tries to change display mode but fails for some reason. Seems like display driver or directx problem. You can try reinstalling them.

Also could be that you changed resolution/color depth ingame and it only takes effect now when you tried to start it again and the new mode really is not supported by your computer.

What video card do you have by the way?

EDIT: Go to Start-menu -> Run -> (type)dxdiag -> Display-tab and run the tests there.

ran the tests all came back fine.
You asked about my video card it is intel corporation 810 graphics controller hub.
