I have a problem with running most games. if I start some games, such as Call of Duty 4 singleplayer and medieval total war, they don't start but in my process list the process ~e5.0001 appears. I serached on internet. It seems to be a copy protection thing of many gameproducers such as EA, macrovision and more. But I still dont know how to fix it. can somebody help me?

Are these games retail or downloaded from the internet?

Hi gerben, welcome to TSF.

It could simply be a conflict between your AV or firewall. Try playing with these disabled to determine if this is true.

Also, are you running there games from the original CD's/DVD's?

I have tried to play the games with my firewall and virus scan off, but it without effect. I do play the original game from the original cd
