general gaming slowdown

i recently downloaded company of heroes which is like a 2 year old game now, and i have a pretty good computer that i just updated not too long ago

however ingame when i play anything it seems..

-sidenote: when i started playing world of warcraft i could play with everything at high at 60 fps, and now i can barely scrape by with everything on low and a low resolution and manage like 10 fps

..that everything goes down, i ran the "Can you run it?" and i pass the tests with flying colors other than my RAM hits exactly at the reccommended (it reccommends 1gig and i have 1gig exactly)

so what is wrong with my computer? do i have a virus or something thats slowing my rig down?
