Comp freezes/restarts during gameplay

Hi, I upgraded everything but my video card and my wireless network card 4 months ago, and it ran fine but the past couple months I've noticed increasingly strange activities as far as freezing and crashing are concerned, and now at this point my comp freezes a few minutes into playing any game or torrenting.

My specs are:
Asus M2R32-MVP mobo
AMD athlon 64 x2 dual core 6400+
500 gig western digi sata hd
4 gigs ddr gskill ram
soundblaster audigy
geforce 7600gt
belkin wireless pre n network card
atapi dvdrw drive

Now when I torrent my comp will freeze after a few minutes or hours, I read in another thread about the freezing while torrenting and someone else with the same network card had the same problem, so maybe this card is just worn out and can't handle a large number of connections.

The more concerning thing is that it crashes and restarts or sometimes freezes without restarting during gameplay, and I've done everything, upgraded video card drivers, sound card drivers, flashed the bios, reformatted and reinstalled windows, swapped dimm positions, and the games still crash. Most recently with world in conflict and stranglehold.

Now, I blew almost $1000 on all this stuff so it's very distressing that it's not working, anyone have any ideas?

I would look into getting a new card. Belkin seems to produce junk (in my opinion) and pre-N is too unstable (in my opinion). Go with G or N, avoid pre-N.

Hi Corpey welcome to TSF,

Are the games you are playing online? If not that (IMO) eliminates the network card and stares me towards a video card issue. Possible over heating. The best way to test this is to run your game and take note of the duration of time before it freezes. Now run your game without the side cover on your case and take note if it lasts longer. If thats the case, it might be a heating issue. Give that a try and post back, I have had similar problems in the past.

what power supply
brand
wattage
what does the bios list your tempretures and voltages as
check what the voltage range is for your ram
check what it's running at
you may need to lift it
