How much video memory does Halo 2 need?

Hi, I want to know how much video memory Halo 2 needs. Also, does anyone know if Halo 2 runs well on the minimum requirements?

Although I can't answer the second part, but you can test whether you meet minimum requirements here.

One other thing I'd like to point out, seeing your OS. Halo 2 will only work with Vista.

Minimum Video memory I think is 128 meg's. (It needs atleast a 6000 or x700)

ok my pc runs at 1.6ghz amd sempron(single core), 2gb 667 ram, nvidia geforce 6100 n400(64mb/128mb max), vista home basic. i was wondering why did they put so high of specs on halo 2?? i can run it on 800x600 with no problems, no tears, no lag of any kind. it ran perfect for me. any ideas on why it was possible for me to do so??? oh and what other games with similar specs to halo 2 are there cuz im thinkin about getting them now that i know that i can halo 2.

probably cuz of your ram. i can run mine on high at resolution 960x something. my specs are below

im way below the specs though....i was just wonderin how i was able to play it so good.

You were playing it on quite a low resolution, meaning the card has to work a whole lot less to create the image. Try turning the res up to the max your monitor can handle, also make sure all other graphics settings are on high and you'll notice the lag.

yea i noticed a whole lot of lag when i did that. only putting it all the way down to 640x480 has absolutely no lag. 800x600 creates a little lag. my screen maxes 1440x900 so yea you can imagine.
