Call of Duty 4

So, I'm sure at least a dozen people have posted the same problem with this game, but once again here it is.

I click on the single, or multiplayer icon to start playing the Call of Duty 4 launch screen comes up, then seconds later I get a message saying..

"Error during initialization:
Video card or driver doesn't support seperate alpha blend, glow will be disabled."

Now this leads me to believe that, A: I need a new video card, or B: I need to update my current video card's drivers.

I'm running on a whopping AMD Athalon 3000+, 1 gig of ram, Radeon 9200 series (I think the problem lies somewhere within that), and a Creative Sound Blaster sound card.
All junk, but it runs alot of games at decent settings without any problems.

If anyone could get back to me as soon as possible, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Call of Duty 4

It's saying that your graphics card doesn't support some of the features needed to run the game. You could try updating the driver (see your other thread for details). If that doesn't fix it, then I think you're looking at an upgrade.

Cool, updating drivers now so I guess we're going to see what happens.
Thanks for the help

Re: Call of Duty 4

Well, it looks like it didn't do much. It seems like it's going to start up then it dies and that same error message still comes up. I guess I'm looking at a new video card.
