Computer Crashes when playing certain games!

Well my computer runs games like Oblivion, Crysis, Hellgate London,Supreame Comander and FEAR perfictally without any problems.

However when I play The Sims 2 : Pets & Warhammer Mark of Chaos it crashes the screen goes blank and the last sound that was playing loops over and over non stop (with Mark of Chaos the game runs fine exept when u go into the missions & with the sims 2 tis fine until you start playing with your sim the neighborhood screen is fine )

Any ideas would be nice thx

1Gb Ram
Nvidia Geforce 9600 graphics card

Re: Computer Crashes when playing certain games!

Well I'm no expert but from what I know the cyclic redunacy error sometimes comes when the pc is reading a disk that is damaged and it comes onto a piece of data that the disk drive cannot read for love nor money. Is your disk damaged or badly scrached?

or

Less frequent causes are the result of system crashes, and buggy software (hello Microsoft). But if it doesn't do it with other games I would rule these ones out.

But as I said I'm no expert
