Does My Proccesor Supports Games?

I Have An Intel Dualcore E2140 1.6ghz..1gb Ram And Geforce 7series Graphics Card...whenever I Look At The Minimum Requirements Of The Game{written In Back Of The Cd Cover]i See All The Games Need A Proccesor Speed Of Atleast 2.2ghz.but My Graphics Card And Ram Support The Minumum Requirements..i Have Not Tried The Games Yet Because Of Seeing This...earlier I Had A P4 With 2.8ghz Speed.i Sold It To By This New Proccesor.was P4 More Compatible With Games?

Re: Does My Proccesor Supports Games?

Hi Vinod, Welcome to TSF.

Your processor is a dual-core, meaning basically that there are two processors @ 1.6ghz each, giving you a total of 3.2 ghz.

Hope this helps.

Re: Does My Proccesor Supports Games?

Well, it calculates at 1.6ghz x 2 (cause there two processors) so I'm fairly sure that if the processor requirements are below 3.2ghz single core and you computer meets over other requirement of the game, you should be about to play it.

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest - head over to that site and see if the game you trying to play is listed in the drop down menu, if it is, select it and run the test. The website will scan you computer specifications and tell you if you can play the game or not

Re: Does My Proccesor Supports Games?

System Requirements lab rates my Athlon64 X2 5200+ (2.4Ghz/core) at over 7Ghz.

What model of 7-series is it? If it's a 7600 or better it'll run almost all current games and all older games. If it's something like a 7150 you'll be watching a slideshow with current games.
