Re: C&C zero hour
Its probably because your Cafe's internet doesn't have sufficient bandwidth to support all the people on that game at once.

Re: C&C zero hour
hummm man i have Assus switch 24 port 1gb and on the lan cards on the pcs are also 1gb , knowing the lan cards are internal built in from asus board , i wanted to ask if having an independent card is better ? and also the switch is 24 port , 14 ports for the gaming pcs and 8 for internet pcs including the adsl router that i connect directly to the switch, the switch is not managed .
do u think that seperating the internet pcs from games pcs by installing a new switch can make a different ? Ty for responding |

Re: C&C zero hour
Asus boards are great including the built-in NIC (Network interface card).
If its on WAN and you lag then there could be a firewall issue or you need to static IP all of the PC's from the router and give each IP access to the gaming ports.. This is a good place to start.. http://portforward.com/

Re: C&C zero hour
Me and a couple of friends had this problem for pretty long too. And while we were experimenting with different ways to get rid of it one of us minimized the game and all of the sudden all others got no lag at all. We tried some more and figured, maybe its about the full screen support?
Anyways, we tried it in window mode... and everything went great. No mismatch, no lag at all. Still pretty early in testing this method but if you tried everything else this might be worth a try.
