Gpu upgrade caused laggs
Hi
i have a gaming center and i decided to upgrade the graphics cards so i had x1600 pro i replaced them with x2600xt and now most of the games are playing better a little bit ( advice if u want to upgrade dont jump one step .. get a really good card to notice the difference ) but the problem is .. Counter strike 1.3 is not working like before , the game on the new graphics cards kind of lagg or lets say that its not smooth the way it was AT ALL , even tho i reformated and installed new system and the game again but was invain .. i am using xp sp2 and the drivers are from ATI Cat 7.9 , i tried other drivers like Omega or Cat the new release all the same ... Any ideas? |

blue storm 350 w
but i am saying that only counter strike 1.3 is causing this problem , and it uses opengl in settings , i tried to install the older card again and the game was smooth once more . Last edited by soulkeeper : 05-25-2008 at 02:44 AM. |

Re: Gpu upgrade caused laggs
The important thing here isn't really wattage. What you need is amperes. If the card is AGP, you need at LEAST 24a on the +12v rail. If it's a PCI-Express card you'll need at LEAST 26a on that +12v rail.
