Mistake XP and older game...

I'm trying to run an older game on my computer(simTown, but keep getting message saying

Sim town-Fatal error
Not enough memory to run sim town try these:
1-close all applications and try again.
2-Increase window's swap file.

I've tried running it in compatibility mode, and that's the message I get..I have other games from this same time(simPark) that's working, ordered simAnt, and don't know if that one will have these same issues :(.
Thanks in advanced!

Re: XP and older game...

Hi, welcome to TSF

The error message is saying to increase your Swap File size (virtual memory), so go to Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Performance Settings button > Advanced tab and click the Virtual Memory Change button. Select Custom Size and set both Initial and Maximum to 4096mb, click the Set button, then OK out of these windows and reboot to complete.

Try installing the game again with your new swap file settings, using different compatibility modes if necessary.
