Re: PC freezes during Time Shift and FEAR

Hi, welcome to TSF

850W is more than enough. Looking at your posted specs, I'd say a 650W would also be more than enough, but the build quality of the PSU is just as important as the total watts. What make/model is it?

Before you were recommended to upgrade the PSU, did anyone get you to test the RAM and monitor the system temperatures during gameplay?

How many case fans do you have, and how are they positioned?

Have you cleaned out the inside of the case lately, especially around the heatsink, fans and card slots? All cables should be moved away from the centre of the case to avoid blocking the airflow. There should be a large fan at the front of the case pulling in cool air and a large fan at the top rear of the case blowing warm air out.

Re: PC freezes during Time Shift and FEAR

What make/model is your new PSU?

Check your temperatures and voltages with PC Wizard at startup with no other programs running. Take with a screenshot from the 'Voltage, Temperature & Fans' window. Leave it open on the desktop and take another screenshot of PC Wizard during gameplay by pressing ctrl-alt-del to switch back to the desktop. Post back with both screenshots so we can see how your system copes under stress.
