I'm having a problem with dark messiah of might and magic....

I have the latest patch, I think its patch v1.02, right? When I run the game, game is a bit choppy so I lower the settings. Ok, the thing is that everytime I lower a setting, the graphics still looks the same (or at least I think it does) and its still running at the same choppiness. Is this a bug or something? I had played through the whole game before (last year I think) and it was running smoother than the choppiness now, but it was running with some choppiness but not a lot like now.

I have an
AMD Athlon @2400 2.0GHz
2gb ram
ATI Radeon x1600 pro 512vram

Any help would be appreciated

Hey i had the same problem a while ago with my old pc which is very much like yours dark messiah is a very weird game to run not many people can make it run properly try deleting the local data and reinstalling it and go onto properties of the game in steam and verify the cache.

Also update your drivers see if that helps =].

I already have updated video card drivers. I installed this game just a few days after I cleared out the temporary files and system defragged my computer.
