Games won't play[MOVED FROM WINDOWS]

Hi there

I wonder if anyone can help me. A few weeks ago, I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall XP. I backed up everything and downloaded all the new updates and things like Java and shockwave but now there are certain games that won't play on the pc. A game called "Farm Frenzy" that I bought a few months ago for my son used to work perfectly but now when he tries to play it, it won't play and just says "default video card doesn't support stencil buffer". I have no idea what this means

I hope someone can help me.

Many Thanks
