[SOLVED] Crashes when playing COD2
Hi, my pc has been freezing up completely after about 10-15 minutes of gameplay on certain games (COD2 and HOTD3). Ctrl-alt-del does not work and I have to turn it off at the power. It runs fine on some other games such as Homeworld.
I had the same problem a few weeks ago however my computer would crash whilst performing simple tasks such as opening itunes, defragmenting a drive, watching a film etc. This problem stopped after I reseated the graphics card and memory sticks. pc spec is as follows: > Manufacturer : Medion > Mainboard : MSI MS-7012 > Chipset : Intel i865PE > Processor : Intel Pentium 4 @ 3000 MHz > Physical Memory : 1280 MB > Video Card : Nvidia Corp GeForce 7600 GS > Hard Disk : ST3160021A (160 GB) > Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 5.01.2600 Service Pack 2 > DirectX : Version 9.0c Any ideas on how I could diagnose what is making the pc crash? Thanks. Last edited by Fargo; 04-12-2008 at 06:34 AM. |

Re: Crashes when playing COD2
What PSU do you have?
Do you get a BSOD - if so, include that message in this thread too.
