Would NBA Live 08 or Tomb Raider Anniversary work on my computer??

Hi, I have a 1.7ghz, 704mbram and a geforce4 mx video card. NBA Live 08 needs a 1.3ghz, 256ram and a 64mb video card, geforce4 or above that supports direct3d. I read in softpedia that the geforce4 mx is not supported. What does NBA need that geforrce4 mx doesn't have???

Tomb Raider Anniversary requires a 1.4ghz, 256ram and a directx 9c compatible video card that requires hardware transform and lighting with 64mb onboard memory. Can my geforce4 mx handle this game? I played kOTOR 1 which also needed T&L but lower system requirements

Re: Would NBA Live 08 or Tomb Raider Anniversary work on my computer??

The Nvidia Geforce 4 mx is not supported by both games, ur card is very old, and it only supports directx 7, the 2 games requires a card with at least directx 9.0 card
NBA Supports Geforce 4 but not the MX series,
If u need to compare the Nvidia cards here is a table :
Nvidia Graphics card Table

Ur cpu is capable to run the games at the lowest settings, the RAM are OK for ur system
The Problem is the VGA Card, it's not about the Vram, it's about the GPU the pixel shaders, etc...

If u need to change ur card, u can get a Geforce 6200 256 Mb for around
40 to 50$
This game is not very good but it's fine for ur system and it can run these games, but do not expect a lot from it

Re: Would NBA Live 08 or Tomb Raider Anniversary work on my computer??

OK thanks, but I could run most games like KOTOR 1 which require T&L and lego star wars 2 and republic commando which require pixel shaders 1.1 on the highest settings. What I was asking for was if NBA live 08 needed anything like T&L or pixel shaders or anything. Thanks

Oh, my motherboard nforce2 does not support more than 64mb of ram.

The GeForce4 MX only supports Direct3D 8.1. NBA08 requires Direct3D 9.0c
