Re: Midieval Total War Flicker
What make/model is your PSU? How many amps on the +12V line? 430W seems very low for dual 3870 cards.

Re: Midieval Total War Flicker
15 amps is way too low. It's barely enough to power an AGP card. You need a more powerful PSU.
AGP cards need 18A/+12V and PCIE cards need 26A/+12V minimum. Enter your full system specs into this power calculator and set Capacitor Aging to 25%. Click the Calculate button, then add 30% to the total to allow for PSU inefficiency. EDIT: Looking in more detail, I found the Antec Trio 430W has 3 rails, 16 amps each, so you're ok there. Post back with the power calculator results anyway so we can see what's going on. Do you have the latest graphics driver, chipset drivers and DirectX installed? Do you pass the 2 tests in Start > Run > dxdiag > Display tab?

Re: Midieval Total War Flicker
it came up with 615 wats and plus 30% is about 815 wats...
![]() way too low and my computer also crashed after crysis and it fried one of my fans I think its a lot too little... BTW the psu is 16A just I need 2 6 pin power connectors to my card... I think a pcpc 750 would be way enough though... |
