Call of Duty 4 'Random' crashes
Hi,
I've been playing Call of Duty 4 for some time now. Only recently has it started crashing. I will join an online game and after any time between 1-5 minutes it will crash. Either the entire system will reboot or the screen will go black, program closes down and an error report is displayed. I recently reverted back to XP from vista as it happened after 5 seconds of gameplay on vista, to see if this would fix it, however it hasn't. I run a P4 3.2Ghz (watercooled) ASUS P5VDC-X Mobo Radeon X800 GTO (arctic cooling) 2GB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (3.0-3-3-8 @ 200 MHz) (2.5-3-3-7 @ 166 MHz) EZCool 450W PSU WinXP SP2 I am running no background applications when I run COD4! Please help! Thank you, alic2k |

Re: Call of Duty 4 'Random' crashes
I would suggest that your low quality and underpowered PSU is the cause here. To make sure you should get a multimeter and test the 12V rail during gaming. With a watercooling system, your cheap 450W system is insufficient.
