Need for speed carbon

Ok i installed need for speed carbon yesterday, played it for a few hours, turned the comp off, went to bed, got up, turned pc on, automatic defragmentation of the HD starts, everythings smooth, i go to play carbon and kablam. nfsc.exe has encountered an error and needs to close, sorry for the inconvenience....

I have no idea how this can happen, and how to fix it. I havent changed ANYTHING with the game configs since i installed it, and now some how it just doesnt work. Im gonna see if its my drivers and ill get back to you.

Heres my specs:

ATi Radeon 9550 256mb AGP
512mb RAM
AMD athalon 3200+
2.2Ghz

I have my video card overclocked. Im pretty stumped on this one, so any help is appreciated.
