Battlefield 2

Hey,

I've got a similar problem. When I first installed battlefield 2 it was perfect! It ran really smoothly and was no problem at all! However, when the next time I want to use it comes around it doesn't boot up. It comes up with the battlefield screen.

Once this has come up it then shows an Error Message box that Microsoft implimented into Windows XP to really anoy everyday XP users.

If I click on to the blue "Click here" button then it leads me to this:

Then if I click on the first blue "Click here" button it leads me to this:

Now the large scroll box at the top goes on for a while. So I won't copy all of that text, but you can see from the picture there's alot of it.

So, what have I done so far? Well I've uninstalled and then reinstalled the game which didn't help the problem. So I reinstalled the patch update which didn't help either. I thought that the patch could be corrupt so I'm re-downloading it now. If this helps I'll let you guys know.

Any thoughts on how I could fix this mess?

Cheers,

Re: Battlefield 2 error

Hey, it's me again. I fixed it! Typical isn't it! Anyway, this is what I did:

I went here: http://files.filefront.com/Battlefie.../fileinfo.html and downloaded the patch. Then I installed it and then re-booted. I then double clicked on my BattleField2 icon and prayed that it'd load. 'Low and behold, load it did!
