Evil [SOLVED] The uttermost irritating problem with I-War2

Really do like this game, but I fear soon thanks to it I'm gonna take an axe to my pc, with the power on.

The damn game use to work fine, no prob, then I upgraded my motherboard. Still however it run with no problems, but I re-installed in none-the-less <- just in case, and also for some reason the graphics are crap on my onboard graphics card, even though its better by spec than my old hardware. Much better.

Right well, when I launch the game, it seems to have a need to recount my mods (in case I have added new ones), however this takes unusually long. First time after the install it took about a minuet. From then on it take about 30 minuets. Literally!

Generally the game runs slow, and freezes for about a minuet on menus, etc. The thing that really bugs me is that it use to run well, but now randomly lags.

Also, this lag occurs only after installing the 14.6 patch -> before that mods do not count, so no lag, and yet, only yesterday, on that first install, with over ten mods active, it run smooth....

If anyone can enlighten me on this conundrum, before I enlighten it with an axe, it would be most appreciated ;P

Thank you

My System

Cool Re: The uttermost irritating problem with I-War2

Well, it was worth a shot asking, but now it seems I have solved it! ;P

Basically, after a lot of debug, peeking into scripts and checking access logs, I decided that it was all ?£$%^%$s, and decided to play with the flux.ini config file.

Here the problem. Something with the system sucks, but by chaing the 'search_cd' option to 0, I no longer get the irritating start up movies, loading is almost instant, game response is also ruddy fast, but at the cost of some missing avatars -> the spinning heads in the main menu.

To me, this is win-win tbh =]

I rule. That is all.
