Re: Cod4 Lag!

Hi, welcome to TSF

What are your full system specs, and what game settings do you use in CoD4?

Try disabling anti-aliasing and set the resolution to match your monitor's native resolution.

How much free hard drive space is left? Did you defrag after installing the game?

Re: Cod4 Lag!

yeah get a 7600 gs 512 mb ram, you can get it in agp and pci-e and its cheap, its what i use and it runs great!! i can run nearly full everything (just need more ram) but i do use a quad core, but they are great pieces of low cost midrange machinery!

No, you don't need more RAM. What the other guy meant was a GFX card with 512MB of video memory. Your RAM is fantastic on your computer- don't buy any more.

Re: Cod4 Lag!

The GeForce 7800GT is for the PC, and will run the game.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130035

Whenever you upgrade from onboard graphics to a proper graphics card, you need to make sure your motherboard has the correct slot (PCI, AGP or PCIE) and your PSU is strong enough with at least 26 amps on the +12V line for a PCIE card, or 18 amps for an AGP card.

Open the case and check the PSU label and motherboard slots for these details.

Re: Cod4 Lag!

However, if you can use a PCIe card, there are many better than the 7800
