Re: no very high option in crysis

you need windows vista, very high option is direct x 10, just goto the microsoft website, pay and download just get basic, its all you need, burn it run it in xp and hit upgrade to keep all your documents and stuff, Vwalla i bet you will get it (btw it will look more realistic) and also vista installs faster than xp so all you really have to wait the longest for is the download times unless you buy it at a store

There is also the option of using the Alky Project binaries that gave DirectX 10 support to Windows XP. Do so very, very carefully.

Re: no very high option in crysis

Very High features for Crysis is limited to Vista with a DirectX 10 compatible card. However there are tweaks that enable some DX10 features of the game in DX9 they have shown a better performance running the game in XP under DX9 than DX10 with Vista. Use my sig and click on the Crysis tweak link to look at some tweaks, on the second page i have added a link to another tweak that gives you Very High..

Also its a much safer method than what bluesoul has offered. That "3rd Party" DX10 is in alpha stages and could render your PC unusable.
I personally would not use that DX10 upgrade. I have found a better performance using DX9 at the same graphical settings.
